Background:
Trees are grown along the roads to provide foliage and greening of the environment. As the trees age, and sometimes due to soil erosion, trees fall during thunderstorms and even in fine weather - causing property damage potential danger to humans.
Need:
An estate management company seeks a monitoring system to track the structural health of trees, along public roads and private estates, and in green zones.
What MUST the solution entail
The tracking system shall be easily deployable and requires low or no maintenance. IoT devices that are attached to trees or nearby are not preferred as such solutions are difficult to scale. We seek an optical inventory solution that catalogues and monitors the growth of trees and structural health that provides long-term tracing of the trees.
What we are NOT interested in
IoT devices that are attached to trees.
