System Optimization Algorithm and Device (Large automation systems)
We seek an active device and algorithm that proactively monitors, predicts and controls optimal operating parameters to reduce energy use, reduce material mix and improve productivity.
ProjectID: 902202-01
Background
Large automation systems consist of multiple subsystems. Each subsystem has a range of optimal operating parameters. However, when integrated, the operating point of one sub-system influences that of the interconnected sub-system. Often, it is hard to establish a system-wide optimal setpoint due to dynamically changing external factors, instantaneous machine-specific efficiency and its interconnected dependence on other subsystems.
Need
We seek an active device and algorithm that proactively monitors, predicts and controls optimal operating parameters to reduce energy use, reduce material mix and improve productivity.
What must the solution entail
A device with an algorithm that monitors external factors, internal operating parameters and control machine operation to achieve whole system optimum operating setpoints.
It must connect and control automation systems via an industrial protocol like Modbus, ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP.
The device shall operate 24x7 in an industrialized environment, and shall come with relevant industrial-grade product certification.
What are we NOT interested in
PLC using PID controls
